We all, (I would hope) have a sense of what looks right, or wrong where fashion is concerned. The media though has attacked many celebrities for their fashion fall outs, inappropriate choices or just unfortunate election in attire. The question then arises as to who decides that "they" are wrong.
Knowingly you wear a cocktail dress to cocktails, and a Tuxedo to a black tie event, but what do you do at everything else in-between? Take Jennifer Lopez for instance in this fire engine red ensemble. Entertainment Weekly says she's "decked out in a strapless, papier-mache puffball pasted together using recycled holiday wrapping paper and the swept-up tufts from Ronald McDonald and Bozo's last few haircuts". I on the other hand totally disagree. I think she looks.....HOT!!!
Now we can all agree when something is just WRONG, for instance Jessica Simpson in this Little House on the Prarie, meets Daisy Duke number. Beauty is definetely in the eye of the beholder. Someone else could put this outfit on and "rock it". It's acceptable to push the envelope. At the end of the day if you feel good in it...do it. You decide what's HOT!

She looks awful, and she has an expression that says I look awful.
To me what makes the difference is: attitude, the forgotten accessory. I don't particularly think the red dress is flattering on j.lo -- makes her look a little round to me. But the hand on the hip shows that at the very least j.lo knew she nailed it.
simpson on the hand knows she looks a mess... it's written all over her face, not to mention that dress.
