GOLDEN GIRLS @ THE GOLDEN GLOBES

And, the winner is...Dior! Looks like everyone and their mother was wearing the house's designs. The 66th Annual Golden Globes was last night, and while I'll have to catch it on youtube, that won't stop me from writing about the outfits! Check out my slide and what I'd like to consider stream of conciousness, ahem, colorful commentary below.

Eva Mendes rocked my world in the white silk taffeta Dior and Van Cleef and Arpels jewelry.* Eva's dress was rivaled only by Cameron Diaz's Chanel Haute Couture and Jennifer Lopez's gold beaded Machesa. January Jones' blue Versace was fierce! Drew Barrymore brought it in that custom-made Dior Haute Couture! Demi looked fab and tanned in a peach Dior, and Kate Bekinsdale's Mendel was yum!

Poor Bey Bey...Beyonce (my favorite celeb, usually) and Blake lively were both victims of the same ill-fitting, too-high-slit contraption. America Ferrara (or her stylist) is still stuck in the era of the short bubble dress...that was like, so when the Dow was still above 11,000. Olivia Wilde kept it interesting in the violet Reem Acra. Angelina's Atelier Versace gown bores me, but I guess when one's life is so interesting the clothing shouldn't be. Anne Hathaway's Armani Prive was yawn, I swear I've seen that dress before!

* "You can learn how to dress by checkin' my fresh..." - Jigga. I see that Cameron Diaz kicked off the white fluffy dress and turquoise jewelry trend! Check out her outfit from the 2007 Golden Globes and compare Eva Mendes' and Sandra Bullock's white fluffy Dior dress and turquoise jewelry from this year's Golden Globes.

Interesting commentary! I love StyleChile :) I completely agree with you about Blake Lively and Beyonce, and January Jones brought the drama in that stunning blue dress (loving it)! Not sure how I feel about Jennifer Lopez's dress. I think Jennifer Lopez has looked much better at other events ... this was a throwback to a style that we've already seen her in, and it sort of reminded me of a cross between the (in)famous green Versace dress that she wore to the Grammys and the Elie Saab gold dress that Beyonce wore to the Golden Globes in 2007. I also didn't like Cameron Diaz's dress ... she is usually a showstopper but something about the pink dress against her overtanned complexion did not work for me (very Rachel Zoe). My picks for best dressed are: Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria-Parker, and Drew Barrymore. I would include Kate Beckinsdale (who looks flawless), but she's wore a VERY similar dress in an eggplant/brown/black color at the Critic's Choice Awards just a week ago---yes, the dress is stunning on her, but it would be nice to see her in something different.

Jennifer has sported this look before, I hope she tried donning another different look so as to add more flare to her style

Poor Beyonce, she was stuffed like a sausage into that dress! My favorite of the evening was Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Thanks, Anonymous! I agree with you! I do, however, think that J.Lo was trying to show everyone that she still had the goods post baby...she was probably trying to prove that to herself--as much as to everyone else--by wearing a dress similar to that green Versace. I think Eva and Kate B. look stunning...i didn't want to stress their outfits too much though because everyone who knows me knows i'm partial to that fishtail, mermaid, trumpet styled silhouette (that's how I want my wedding dress to look)...Upon further review of additional pics and footage (I saw only pics of the show)...I may have to rethink some of my choices :) Thanks again, for reading!

Thanks for reading Run's House--yeah, J.Lo could have done a lil bit more, but I really think she was just trying to show folks that twins or not, she's still got a fab bod.

Wendy B! Where've you been chica?! LOL at sausage!
