Have you seen the December 2009 issue of Glamour Magazine? If so, then I'm sure that I'm not the only one admiring our First Lady's Necklace!

Fenton Fallon + J. Crew "Carrington" necklace, in Antique Gold, available at www.jcrew.com, $295.00
Dana Lorenz of Fenton/Fallon, created the statement necklace worn by Michelle Obama on the cover of Glamour Magazine's December issue (seen below). Fortunately for the rest of us, Dana Lorenz was in talks with J. Crew about possibly creating a version of Mrs. O's necklace for the retailer--and finalized their agreement, three days before the Glamour issue hit the stands. Apparently, neither Fenton/Fallon nor J. Crew knew that the very same necklace they intended to replicate would be worn by the First Lady! In fact, Dana Lorenz did not know that Mrs. Obama owned her necklace!

So naturally, J. Crew has pushed up the release date, from Spring to December 30th, so we can take full advantage of this offering, sooner rather than later.

First Lady Michelle Obama wears a Jason Wu dress and a Fenton /Fallon necklace (by Dana Lorenz) on the cover of Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year issue.
The Carrington necklace, produced via the collaboration of J. Crew and Dana Lorenz for Fenton/Fallon is composed of hand dyed silk ribbons, and glass and crystal stones. Read more about the Fenton Fallon collaboration over at Mrs-O.org.
